Daily readiness in 30 seconds

Every morning, athletes log five wellness markers. BioBand calculates a composite readiness score that coaches can see in real-time across their entire squad.

Scores above 75 mean the athlete is primed for high-intensity work. Between 50–75 suggests a moderate session. Below 50 flags the athlete for recovery focus.

In the real app: soreness and stress are inverted — low soreness and low stress mean high readiness. The sliders here work the same way. Try dragging soreness down to 2 and watch the score jump.

Common questions
What is bio-banding and why does it matter?
Bio-banding groups athletes by biological maturity rather than chronological age. A 14-year-old Pre-PHV athlete and a 14-year-old Post-PHV athlete have very different physiological profiles. BioBand uses the Khamis-Roche method to calculate maturity offset, then automatically classifies athletes as Pre-PHV, Circa-PHV, or Post-PHV — scaling training programmes and safety gates accordingly. This reduces injury risk and ensures developmentally-appropriate training.
Is BioBand free for individual athletes?
Yes — completely free, forever. Individual athletes get daily monitoring, session logging with sRPE, access to all 2,961 training programmes, personal benchmarks, 1 wearable connection, and the ability to export their own PDF reports. No credit card required, no trial period, no feature gating.
How does the ACWR monitoring work?
Every time an athlete logs a session, they record duration and sRPE (session rating of perceived exertion). BioBand calculates the acute:chronic workload ratio by comparing the current week's load against the rolling 4-week average. Ratios between 0.8–1.3 are considered the safe training zone. Above 1.5 puts the athlete in the injury danger zone, and coaches receive automatic at-risk flags on their squad dashboard.
Which wearable devices are supported?
BioBand integrates with Garmin, WHOOP, Apple Health, Polar, and Oura. Each device syncs HRV, sleep quality, resting heart rate, and recovery data into a unified dashboard. Data is normalised across devices so coaches can compare metrics across athletes regardless of which wearable they use.
Can I use BioBand for multiple squads?
The Team plan ($29/mo) covers a single coach with up to 30 athletes. For organisations with multiple squads and coaches, the Academy plan ($99/mo) offers unlimited coaches, unlimited athletes, multi-squad analytics, a sport scientist dashboard, practitioner access for physios and medical staff, and custom branding on all PDF reports.
What sports and training levels are covered?
BioBand supports 9 sports: Soccer, Rugby, Basketball, Tennis, Swimming, Athletics, Hockey, Cricket, and Volleyball. Each sport has programmes at 3 maturity-appropriate levels (Development, Performance, and Elite) across all 9 performance modules — Strength, Sprint & Power, Movement, Speed & Agility, Physiology, Training Prep, Mobility & Recovery, Brain Health, and Bio-Banding.
How are the PDF reports different from other platforms?
BioBand's 17 PDF templates are designed for professional exchange — not screenshots of dashboards. They include radar charts, trend lines, bar charts, and narrative summaries formatted the way a physio, S&C coach, or medical practitioner expects to receive them. Academy plans can add custom branding. When a colleague receives a BioBand report, they receive something they can act on immediately.
Is my athlete data secure?
BioBand is built on Supabase with row-level security policies — meaning athletes can only see their own data, and coaches can only access data for athletes in their squad. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell athlete data, and coaches maintain full ownership of their squad's information.

BioBand Health Systems was built from a single belief: youth athletes deserve the same quality of sports science as professionals — and the practitioners working with them deserve tools that match their expertise.

We started as a research project exploring bio-banding and maturity-based training. The more practitioners we spoke to, the clearer the gap became: world-class knowledge existed, but the tools to apply it were scattered across spreadsheets, PDFs, and whiteboards.
